This is what me and the whole school is doing
Rosie's Cross-Country Training
On the 24th of August is our cross country. Every Friday the whole of Kauri Team are training for the dreaded race. The year 4’s have to run around Putikitiki twice and run around the school once.
The Year 5’s and Year 6’s have to go around Putikitiki twice and around the school twice, as well. It’s really tiring and challenging for everyone competing.
Sometimes Edie teaches us some techniques in our fitness like:
Doing the beep test,
Running around the school,
Not to cross your arms when running,
Save up your energy till you’re at the end of the race
Step lightly.
We are all waiting for the day that we will be sweating and puffing at the end of the big race. We all know that cross country is hard and breath taking but we will try our best.
